Okay, so I know it's been almost a year since I started writing this thing but I've hardly posted any of it, but please, hear me out.
I've come to realize some changes need to be made regarding some of the earlier chapters in order to better fit the Goosebumps canon and my own new headcanons, the main problem being Nancy.
Firstly, I'm going to change the setting from somewhere in the east of the USA to Cornwall. Yes, this is to do with the fact that I had a dream that Horrorland was in Cornwall, but there's other reasons too. I have this new headcanon that instead of there just being one Horrorland park, they're all across the world, kinda like Disneyland but there's not as many. The locations of each Horrorland being Cornwall, Paris, Alabama and Florida (because those are the only states I've ever been to).
And regarding my headcanon of the Horrors and how to make that
work with the canon...Hold onto your hats boiis
There's TWO species of Horror
*audience screams and panics, stampeding out of their seats. One man is killed in the fray, and a goat severely wounded*
HEAR ME OUT HEAR ME OUT!!!
I've had the AMAZING idea to make it so that there's two types of Horror, at least in my headcanon. The green-with-purple-tails-and-grey-horns ones that are in the books are the North American variety, known as Ringtailed Horrors
, whereas the purple-with-green-stripes-and-green-horns ones that I came up with are the European variety, known as... Known as... Well, that name's a work-in-progress right now, but this idea seems pretty solid, right?
Until you remember
"Most Horrors have south English accents, and if they don't they tend to have other accents from the British isles, but Nancy was an exception. Apparently, when she first got a job in Horrorland, she had a fairly northern accent, however over the years she had picked up an American accent, presumably from the guests. No-one knows why she did this, not even Nancy herself, it just happened."
Oh gee gosh golly she sure is strange, being able to pick up an American accent from the Cornish guests...See what I mean about needing to make changes...
